Add to Calendar 2016-10-26 13:00:00 2016-10-26 13:00:00 Office of Safe and Healthy Students Grantee Meeting in Chicago 2016 On October 26, 2016 the Office of Safe and Healthy Students (OSHS) hosted the "Safe and Healthy Students Pre-conference Meeting" for the project directors of all OSHS grants. Project Prevent (P2) and Elementary and Secondary School Counselor (ESSC) Grantees attended separate afternoon sessions hosted by the National Center on Safe Supportive Learning Environments (NCSSLE). Both sessions provided time for discussion and collaboration between grantees, provided information and resources, and identified technical assistant needs for the upcoming year. Elementary and Secondary School Counselor Grantees Session Materials The goal of the ESSC meeting was to provide participants with strategies for aligning their grant work into high quality multi-tiered systems of student mental health support, assess and plan for sustainability, and reflect on action steps they can take towards integrating and sustaining student mental health support beyond the grant. Promoting Student Resilience Session Materials

The goal of the PSR meeting was to provide participants time to learn the vision and goals of the Promoting Student Resiliency Grant Program, learn the key content areas related to the grant, assess project needs, learn about technical assistance and training supports available to grantees, and begin to establish grantee peer to peer network. Experts who worked with these grantees included representatives from the National Center on Safe Supportive Learning Environments (NCSSLE) and the Center for School Mental Health (CSMH).
