Alcohol abuse, other drug abuse, and acts of violence continue to be serious problems facing college students throughout the country. Research and assessment show that many college students are still engaging in high-risk drinking and using drugs (both legal and illegal), often creating impairment for their academic goals. The effects of alcohol and drug abuse on student learning, persistence and completion can be staggering. This conference focuses on giving student affairs practitioners the tools to effectively address collegiate alcohol, other drug abuse, and violence through a variety of integrative approaches. The 2015 NASPA Alcohol, Other Drug, and Violence Prevention Conference
occurs simultaneously with the 2015 NASPA Mental Health Conference.
