Provided a deeper look into five promising strategies for improving student success in Algebra I and, ultimately, high school graduation. The five strategies are: instructional practices, professional development, instructional coaching, curriculum alignment, and supplementary learning supports for struggling students. The webinar included an overview of the project by staff from the U.S. Department of Education, a presentation by the AIR lead researchers on the topic, followed by an external discussant who provided additional practice-based insights on the content of the presentation, including insights related to a current algebra initiative being carried out in New York City.
