Add to Calendar 2017-09-19 15:00:00 2017-09-19 15:00:00 How Schools and Higher Ed Institutions Can Access FEMA’s Public Assistance Program On Tuesday, September 19, 2017, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET, the REMS TA Center and the U.S. Department of Education’s (ED) Office of Safe and Healthy Students (OSHS) will host a Webinar in collaboration with the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Public Assistance Division to share information about grants available to educational facilities following a presidentially declared major disaster that involves a public assistance clause. The Webinar will provide an overview of FEMA’s Public Assistance Program, which awards funds to help repair, restore, and clean up educational facilities that have been damaged during a disaster, and assists with mitigation and recovery efforts. During the Webinar, presenters will describe the process and specify eligibility requirements for institutions of higher education, public K-12 schools and school districts, and nonpublic K-12 schools.
