This webinar will discuss strategies that can be used to improve culturally responsive and sustaining education (CRSE) practices related to a school’s teaching staff. This webinar will also feature a spotlight on charter schools that have been successful in recruiting, hiring, and sustaining teachers of color, as well as highlighting key strategies that can be implemented by charter schools. Attendees of this workshop will learn: The importance of developing environments that are supportive of teachers of color; How to incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion into a school’s recruitment and retention strategies and processes; and How to integrate Culturally Responsive Sustaining Education and anti-racist practices into recruitment, hiring, and retention practices.
