Add to Calendar 2020-06-30 14:00:00 2020-06-30 14:00:00 Supports for Students and Families Experiencing Homelessness During the COVID-19 Pandemic On Tuesday, June 30, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. ET, the U.S. Department of Education’s (ED) Office of Safe and Supportive Schools (OSSS) and its REMS TA Center will host a webinar in collaboration with the National Center for Homeless Education (NCHE) and SchoolHouse Connection on the topic of supports for students and families experiencing homelessness during the COVID-19 pandemic. During the webinar, the OSSS and REMS TA Center team will share information and data on students and families experiencing homelessness and highlight homelessness resources available to students and families. NCHE will provide important considerations for students experiencing homelessness that education agencies should address as they plan for school reopening, and SchoolHouse Connection will highlight the common challenges and solutions faced by education agencies. Presenters will include the following: Madeline Sullivan, OSSS, ED; Janelle W. Hughes, REMS TA Center; Kenya Haynes, National Center for Homeless Education (NCHE); and Barbara Duffield, SchoolHouse Connection  This event will also feature a question-and-answer session during which presenters will field questions from participants.                                                                Register noreply@air.org America/New_York public
