Dr. David Osher, Vice-President of Human and Social Development at the American Institutes for Research and Principal Investigator for the S3 Center, discussed how to
- use school climate data to identify needs
- identify types of programmatic interventions that can address these needs
- select programmatic interventions that are selected can be implemented effectively within a school or district
In particular, the session addressed such matters as the importance of disaggregating school wide data; identifying the features of a program that have to be implemented with fidelity; how to plan for successful implementation; and the importance of cultural and linguistic competence.
