Calling all NCSSLE grantees interested in being part of season 2 of “In Session”, NCSSLE's audio podcast series that highlights grantee voices through discussion on a range of topics. Episodes are published on the NCSSLE website and Spotify and are available to the public to hear about the work you are doing to create safe and healthy learning environments in your schools and throughout your state.
We invite you to listen to season 1 of “In Session” here: "In Session" Podcast | National Center on Safe Supportive Learning Environments (NCSSLE) (ed.gov) to get an idea of the process and the topics that were discussed last year. Thank you to those who participated!
We would love for you to be involved in season 2 to share your successes and lessons learned, insights, and incredible expertise.
If you are interested, please email aknowles@air.org with a brief description of the topic you would like to discuss and which months (June-September) you would have ability to record an episode (includes a ~30 minute session and a few planning emails) by Friday, May 26.
Priority will go to those who have not yet participated in an episode, and those with similar topics may be grouped together to engage in a panel discussion with other grantees and partners. We will do 8 episodes total between now and September.
We hope that just 30-minutes to record and some planning emails in advance will make this an accessible and exciting way to engage with fellow grantees! And if you have any questions or concerns, we are here to help!
Best,
Annie Knowles

Having participated in this podcast in Season 1, I can tell you that the AIR team makes this super easy to do! Very flexible with scheduling interviews, they clearly communicate what they'll be asking so you have time to prep, and you feel at ease speaking with them. It's an easy, fun way to get the word out about the great stuff you're doing! Totally worth the time, which isn't a heavy time commitment at all!

Last summer's podcast experience was a great moment of pause and reflection for the Delaware team. Annica and her colleagues at AIR prepared us well and guided the conversation to bring out the best in all aspects of our work. This podcast conversation provided a foundation for our team to facilitate a presentation celebrating our TRDG work at the Philadelphia Trauma Training Conference. Strategic communication is integral to sustainability, so be sure to add Season 2 of the "IN SESSION" podcast series to your summer 2023 schedule!

I had the opportunity to participate in the podcast series last year and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The AIR team did a phenomenal job highlighting our work and bringing out our best. The process was easy and conversational. I would highly encourage other grantees to participate in a podcast. It is an excellent way to highlight your efforts and share your experiences.

It was a pleasure working with the AIR for season one of the podcast series. They were very knowledgeable and they provided all the materials needed for the recording. Annie and her team created a welcoming and relaxed environment as the questions and discussions came organically. I encourage grantees to certainly participate so they can highlight their grant accomplishments!
