How COVID-19 has changed the college mental health landscape

Will we see a surge in remote work after the pandemic? Will it kill movie theaters? Will takeout replace dining in? A lot of changes ushered in by the pandemic have led to speculation about which trends might last. UM-Dearborn’s Director of Counseling and Psychological Services Sara Byczek says that’s definitely a hot topic in the college mental health field as well, and she’s seen some definite shifts — both in terms of the kinds of services students are seeking and what they’re seeking them for.
