How a Syracuse Middle School Got Taken Off State's 'Persistently Dangerous' List

Syracuse's Lincoln and Danforth middle schools are no longer considered "persistently dangerous" after two years on the state's watch list. Principal LaJuan White attributed Lincoln's removal from the State Education Department's list to better relationships with students and families, and clearer expectations for behavior.
