Local National Alliance on Mental Illness volunteers are walking to raise awareness and money to assist Dougherty County residents dealing with mental health issues. The local chapter provides discussion sessions twice each month for individuals experiencing mental health issues and two a month for their families and one session each month for survivors dealing with the suicide death of a loved one. Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the sessions have been conducted online.
