Rhode Island students in need of child care services could soon receive some help from the state. Gov. Dan McKee unveiled the Child Care Assistance Program for college students Wednesday, which will allow those who are eligible to receive assistance in paying for services. Eligible students must meet the program’s income guidelines, work or attend a public institute of higher education for a minimum of 20 hours per week, and have a child under the age of 13 who is a U.S. citizen or legal resident.
