40 Years of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act

Celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA). The U.S Department of Education has created a video retelling the history of the Act and efforts made to guarantee access to a free, appropriate, public education in the least restrictive environment to every child with a disability. The website also features a series of stories from individuals with disabilities discussing the personal impact that the law has had on them, a list of federal resources, and websites that can offer more insights on IDEA.
