Center for Collegiate Mental Health

Focuses on providing accurate and up-to-date information on the mental health of today’s college students. CCMH connects practice, research, and technology to benefit students, mental health providers, administrators, researchers, and the public. The collaborative efforts of nearly 700 college counseling centers and supportive organizations have enabled for CCMH to build the nation’s largest clinical aggregate databases and to manage and develop clinical tools using cutting-edge technologies and nationally representative clinical norms.  In 2019, CCMH developed the Clinical Load Index (CLI) which provides a more accurate and consistently comparable supply-demand metric to describe the landscape of staffing levels in college counseling centers. The CLI can be thought of as the average annual caseload for a clinician.
