NorthEast Washington ESD 101 School-Based Mental Health Services

Northeast Washington ESD 101 is using their Project Prevent grant to provide tiered mental health supports through their school-based mental health services to students and their families. Counselors are trained in topics such as Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and complex trauma, to provide counseling and referral services for students, facilitate professional development for teachers such as mental health education, and coordinate school-wide programming that improve social skills and emotional intelligence. Notably, the services extend support to students and families.
