Karla Matos, a senior majoring in nursing at Western Connecticut State University, says she became involved in starting an on-campus food pantry "because I am passionate about helping students." “As a mom and student, I know how difficult it can be to afford food while attending college, working a part-time or full-time job, paying bills and other responsibilities,” said Matos, who is from Danbury.
