Department Awards $60 Million in First in the World Grants to 17 Colleges, Universities and Organizations

Announces the second round of First in the World (FITW) grant awards. The 17 recipients, from 14 states, include: public, private and nonprofit four-year institutions; public two-year institutions; and educational agencies and organizations focused on college access and student data. Awards will fund projects for improving teaching and learning, improving student support services, developing and using new assessments of learning, and improving success in developmental education
